Auditions are now closed until September

Talking Gleeks has closed auditions until the first week of September. As we prepare for the new season we will be cleaning out any stale or idle accounts that do not return to the RP and opening roles at this point.

Accounts that deactivate with the RP over the hiatus will be culled and their characters placed back on our open roles page for submissions come September.

From here on out, any updates to the main page where appropriate will be tagged as hiatus updates and notices for everyone’s easy reference and from Monday these posts will cease to be daily but become semi weekly with important announcements. Our regular Daily Round Up posts will return in the first week of September. 

Changes to Activity Guidelines

Activity has now been lowered for the duration of the hiatus period. The Admins will still be keeping an eye on everyone’s posting but we won’t contact anyone unless they are absent without reason for a week, if this occurs, we’ll automatically put their account on hiatus and contact them to inform them of the changes. 

An account put on hiatus by Admins should not resume posting until they’ve contacted and cleared their situation with the Admins. For the record activity is now a minimum of three posts, three days a week (3 posts per day) RP wide.

The Gleeks are now on Vacation!

They should all now be entering into their timelines and for general referencing IC, their summer break will last until the end of August/beginning of September with Admins beginning the wrap up and process of reinserting the RP into the canonical timeline in the first week of September.

Talking Gleeks is closing auditions from midnight tonight until the first week of September. As we prepare for the new season we will be cleaning out any stale or idle accounts that do not return to the RP and opening roles at this point.

Accounts that deactivate with the RP over the hiatus will be culled and their characters placed back on our open roles page for submissions come September. Last minute auditions are welcomed, though we do encourage interested RPers to consider waiting until next season to join us.

Don’t forget to tag your hiatus related posts!

We have a general hiatus tag that RPers are welcome to use for their blogs if they do not already have a system/tag in place. The general tag for Talking Gleeks over this period is TG Hiatus for IC purposes.

The reason we highly encourage tagging of posts relating to the hiatus is to aid in easy resetting once the new season is due to begin. By tagging posts, it makes either deleting or archiving a much less painful process.

Voting has now begun in The Glory Awards. If you’d like to show your support for any of our wonderful team or the RP you are most welcome to go over and vote by filling out the form(s) provided by the lovely Mod. 

You are able to vote three times from an account (the anonymous feature is turned off to dissuade cheating) until the 20th of May at 3PM. 

You can find the rules for voting and the two forms to fill out here. 

There are lists of nominees that voters draw from to make their selections, for the purposes of TG and our members and the RP, the nominee lists are here for individual characters, here for ships, here for the general RP and here for Administrator brackets.

So on the first form for individual RPers, you’d look through the nominee list for canon RPers, select the TG member you’d like to vote for and write their URL in beside the ‘canon’ option and so on for the other categories. 

Not all sections of the form must be completed, some areas can be left blank.

Final Day of Classes & Hiatus Reminders

Today marks the final day of classes for all Gleeks and the last day before we officially transition into hiatus mode for the next few months. All timelines should have been submitted or posted on blogs, the exceptions for these are Noah Puckerman, Sebastian Smythe, Sue Sylvester, Shelby Corcoran, Trent Nixon and Will Schuester due to extensions (the 24th [Shelby, Sue] and midnight tonight [Puck, Sebastian] respectively) and absences.

From tomorrow the RP will not be accepting any new accounts until at the earliest the first week of September. Tomorrow also marks the beginning of new activity requirements, that being a RP wide minimum of three posts per day that an account is active within Talking Gleeks. All accounts will need to be posting at least three days per week to be considered active.

For example, if Blaine’s posting were on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I would then post three times each of those days if not more. Accounts that dip below the requirements will be contacted and then slotted onto hiatus where appropriate. 

From Monday onwards, the Daily Round Ups will become a more consolidated semi-weekly Round Up where required with updates and other details. Any major events for characters that others would like included or announced as upcoming (i.e auditions for a play, a birthday party, a major celebration) are welcome to be mentioned to the Admins in the OOC or via a submission to the main page. 

The Admins full expect that the RP will slow down a little as the hiatus wears on and if anyone would like to take advantage of a full break from the RP at any point they are welcome to, however this shouldn’t mean that posting ceases altogether. The reason timelines were created was to inspire and encourage interaction in game even without the episodes to draw from!

Don’t forget to tag your posts regarding the hiatus with either a tag of your own creating for your blog or the general tg hiatus tag so when September rolls around, deleting or achiving will be a much more painless process!
